Ms. Chokhavatia graduated from University of Bombay in 1974 and started the company. She is having 28 years of experience in the office management, contract negotiations, financial management and administration works of the office.

In the span of 25 years, she made the company as one of the leading Environmental Engineering consulting firm with an annual turnover of Rs. 6 Million.

 

Mr. Vimal Chokhavatia M.S.( USA)
(Chief Executive) -25 years

Mr. Chokhavatia graduated from Polytechnic Institute of New York ( USA) in 1976 with a major in Environmental Engineering. He is having more than 26 years of experience in the field of Environmental Engineering and Pollution Control.

The work consists of initiations and negotiations for getting the jobs, preparing feasibility project reports, detailed engineering designs, planning and supervision over the execution of the treatment plants and commissioning of effluent treatment plants. The jobs handled cover the various industrial wastewater treatment plants, sewerage schemes for townships, sewage effluent treatment plants, water distribution and air pollution control design. Also looking after the commercial and technical interests of the company along with the general administration.

Worked with M/s. Associated Industrial Consultants as Senior Engineer/In-Charge of their Branch office at Ahmedabad. for 3 years. The work consisted of initiation and negotiations for getting the jobs, planning and supervising over the execution of the jobs, preparing feasibility project report and detailed Engineering designs for Industrial waste treatment plants and sewerage schemes for industrial complexes and townships, looking after the commercial and technical interest of the company along with the general administration.

Worked as Deputy Engineer with Gujarat Water Pollution control Board, Gandhinagar for 2 years. The work consisted of industrial visits for the enforcement of the act, scrutiny of consent applications, and project reports.

Worked as an Assistant Engineer with M/s Tata Consulting Engineers, Bombay for 1 year. The work consisted of designing of 200 MGD Sewage Treatment Plant for Ahmedabad City.

Worked as Junior Engineer with Gujarat Water Pollution Control Board's regional office at Ahmedabad and Baroda. for 1 year .The work consisted of carrying out river pollution studies and preparing project reports for two interstate rivers of Gujarat viz., Sabarmati, Tapti and Mindhola. He has been teaching since the past 5 years as a visiting faculty of the Graduate Course of Environmental Engineering at L.D.College of Engineering, Gujarat University.

He is registered as Professional Engineer with the Institution of Engineers, Australia. He is also the Member of Water Pollution Control Federation, USA and Member of International Association of Water Quality (U.K.)

 

Mr . Yogesh Vani M.S. (Structures) ASSOCIATE

Mr. Vani graduated from V.J.T.I., Bombay University in 1960 and obtained his Masters degree in 1963 from Cornell University in USA, and Diploma in Systems Management from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management, Bombay University in 1969. He is practicing as consulting engineer since 1974.

Mr. Vani has over 35 years of experience in design of varied types of structures such as Multistoried buildings, Industrial buildings, Bridges, River structures such as Intake wells, Radial collector wells, Water retaining structures such as elevated water towers of large capacity (up to 36 lac liters capacity), Underground tanks, Effluent treatment plants, Filtration plants, Harbor structures such as jetties and docks. His work experience includes almost two years in USA and 18 months in UK with internationally reputed organizations.

He has worked extensively on Computer-Aided Design since 1978, developing several software for analysis and design.

He has worked for five years with an international consortium (with Larsen and Toubro as an Indian partner in the consortium) namely Kier Sentec in a managerial capacity on a harbor project in Bombay. The project consisted of construction of Ferry jetty near Mazgaon docks, Indira Gandhi Docks i.e. Extension to Alexandra Docks and Extension of Ballard pier and new passenger terminal building for Bombay Port Trust.

He is a fellow member of Indian Institute of Bridge Engineers. He is also a Member of Indian Concrete Institute, a Member of Association of Consulting Engineers ( India) and fellow member of GICEA (Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineers and Architects). He has been teaching since the past 5 years as a visiting faculty of the Post-Graduate Course Of Structural Design at School of Building Science and Technology at CEPT (Center for Environmental Planning and Technology).

He has been regularly giving lectures at the institute since the past twenty years on various subjects. After the recent earthquake he has been taking lectures for training of structural and construction engineers with regards to earthquake engineering. He has traveled to more than 30 countries.
